Following completion of her PhD in Organic Chemistry Michelle joined a start-up technology company that specialised in retail systems and worked as a software engineer.
Later she moved to Proctor & Gamble where she was responsible for running their European R&D Systems before leaving to join Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a management consultant.
In 2007 she founded Canary Wharf & City IT Recruitment. The company has a global reach and services clients in Europe, the middle East and the US and has won multiple industry awards. With both geographic expansion of the firm and the services it offers it was rebranded to theDIFFERENCE ENGINE in 2018.
Gary Rawlings
Director & CTO
After completing his Computer Science degree Gary joined a start-up software house as employee #7 which grew rapidly during his time there. In 2001 he left to join Goldman Sachs.
During his 17 years at GS he held numerous regional and global leadership roles, lead industry initiatives and provided FinTech advisory. His experience includes developing firmwide strategic platforms, building high performance global teams, performance management and promotion vetting.
He joined theDIFFERENCE ENGINE in 2018 where he engages in all facets of the business, including growing the skillsets of the team, business development and driving automation.
