If you are a contractor, you may still in the dark about what you should expect next year, with the impending changes to IR35 getting closer every day. You will likely be aware that from April 2020 onwards, end clients will be responsible for determining whether or not an assignment (or contract) lies within or outside of IR35. You may likely be wondering what this means for your current contract and the way you pay tax. Status declarations and IR35 strategy will ultimately be client led and we here at The Difference Engine are currently waiting for many of our clients to determine which direction they plan to take come next year.

We've shared with our current contractors some information highlighting the key points that we believe all contractors should know going into the New Year. This information has been kindly provided to us by our trade body, APSCo.
